OK I'm keeping this simple here. If you just want to look at most Pixelpalaces comics (or other SVG or SVGZ files) on your computer this is all you need to know. SVG and SVGZ files can always(?) be viewed with the same software. If you're viewing it correctly, it should look like a picture of some sort, but it may have writing in it (and may have animation or interactivity). If you just see computer code, you're porbably doing it wrong. You have two main choices. You can use Interent Explorer with a plug-in (IE 9 has native SVG support so you don't need a plug-in) or you can use a browser with native SVG support. Either way, if the software isn't on your computer, it can be downloaded free and easily installed. Instructions are on the web sites from which you download the software but normally you just download a file and run it. If you have a plug-in, you simply browse the internet with IE and when it finds an SVG(Z) file, it will display it as a picture (much the way the Shockwave Plug-in does with SWF (Flash) files). If you use a browser with native SVG support, you use it to browse the internet (much the way you do with Internet Explorer), and when it finds an SVG(Z) file it displays it as a picutre (much the way Internet Explorer displays gif files). If this is still too complicated for you, I suggest you get your grandchildren to help!
Plug-ins
Adobe SVG viewer - this is propabably the best way way to see Dragon Knights comics but the main draw back is that many links (particularly those to the mod database) don't work.
Browsers
Opera - version 10 is nearly as good as the Adobe SVG viewer (and all links work) but has problems with some frames. Unfortunately version 11 has a bug which seriously messes up Dragon Knights.
Mozilla Firefox - Lacks some animation and some frames look less realistic. Hot zones (which you're supposed to move your mouse over to see the speach bubbles etc.) aren't visible but usually work.
Google Chrome - Most animation works but pictures tend to look less realistic and there are a few other technical issues. Some frames require the file to be reloaded.
Internet Explorer 9 - I haven't been able to test this. It only works on Windows Vista and newer.
Safari - This now runs on PC and Mac. Similar to Google Chrome. Three frames crash it.
